Hi there, I'm Kathryn and I am delighted to have become a Certified Infant Massage Instructor with IAIM. After 12 years of working in education as a primary school teacher and senior leader I have built my career around my passion for early learning. I think it's fascinating to support little minds to develop and grow and help children flourish - and that starts from birth! Having used infant massage with both my beautiful boys I am converted to the many benefits it can bring to help children get off to the very best start in life and I am so excited to be able to share the beautiful art of baby massage with other families. That's why I've started my own early learning business - Sense and Learn - aimed at supporting that crucial early learning process for children and families from birth.
Classes
About Classes:
I run group and 1:1 baby massage courses in Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire.
You can book onto my 5 week courses based in Dagnall, Buckinghamshire, or if you have your own group of babies (such as an NCT group or playgroup) I can come to a central location near you!
On my 5 week baby massage course you will learn:
- Massage strokes focusing on a different part of the body each week, building up to a whole body massage by week 5
- A short colic routine to help reduce discomfort in moments of need
- Gentle movements and touch relaxation
- How to identify the best time for massage
- What massage oils to use
- How to adapt your strokes for the needs of a growing child
Each week we will cover a theory topic to help you connect with your baby, understand their needs and how to support their learning experiences. We also include a chance for discussion with other parents in a lovely relaxed and supportive environment (plus unlimited hot drinks and cake!) You'll love our classes so much you won't want them to end!
